My experience on 99designs was a remarkable one. I have already recommended them to at least 10 other people. Although I would like to say...that you get what you put into the experience. I had 80+ amazing entries but because I put in the time to browse designers and find ones that had created logos that really spoke to me I got even better results than I would have otherwise. You will get amazing results regardless, but put in the effort to find designers whose style suits you and your business and you will not be disappointed.
