The logo should be memorable and recognisable, such as how the F has
become synonomous with Facebook, we are looking for a unique 'Z' for
zando.
If you have ideas for more abstract logos than the word zando itself,
feel free to either contact with a quick sketch or submit it, although
it is probable that I will favour the wording zando more so than an
abstract icon.
If both are submitted, this will the most likely candidate to win. The
wording and the graphical icon will not necessarily be placed side by
side, however, the likelihood that they will is high.

If you use fonts that require a license, confirm with the client they're ok with it. For licensing reasons, it is better to provide your client with information on how to acquire the font rather than providing the actual files.
Text in logos should be converted to outlines.
