Kathrin.hauw got their new wordpress theme design by running a design contest:

We are a non-profit initiative of CEOs in Germany, who strive to support the positive future development of Germany and Europe by developing recommendations and solutions for Challenges in the areas of Climate, Education and Innovation topics. We believe in the responsibility for people and nature and want to use our influence as top executives to turn the future for the better and come up with solutions for a positive development of the economy and society. We believe in the power of collaboration and we want to work shoulder to shoulder with politicians to find the right solutions for our country and all of Europe. What we do: We scout the most urgent problems in the subject areas: 1. Climate/environment 2. Education/Talents and 3. Innovation/Technology and elaborate roadmaps and solutions for a positive, competitive future development. We discuss these with politicians of all parties, publish position papers and engage in lighthouse projects Our target audience consists of politicians, journalists, executives and other heads of organizations (NGOs, etc.)
The style should be associated with Innovation, Humanity and Nature. We would like a very picture-heavy design that looks high-class and touches your heart. We are working for a desirable future with fact-based rational formats, so we need these two sides also brought together in the design.
1. Homepage 1. On the homepage we want to describe our mission We want to explain, who we are (Link to "who we are page") We want to explain what we work on (link to subject topic page) 2. On the "who we are page" we want to show our members (20-30) and give some background about everyone 3. On the subject topic pages we want to deep dive into the details we work on (Climate/Education/Innovation)
What to avoid
No yellow, orange, pink. No pictures of 0101-pixels flying around our technology “pictures” of future worlds (robots, etc.). No people with glasses working in offices. No cartoons
We do not have too much content yet, because we have just started our work, but the website has to have a professional appearance due to very high influence members and target groups.
