Travel & Hotel
We are creating a small public sculpture park northwest of Seattle Washington. Its new web site will serve as a marketing source to entice both tourists and the local community to visit, and also serve as an information source about the park, each sculpture, and its associated sculptor. The site will also provide an interactive map, photo gallery, background information, how sculptors and volunteers can participate, and a blog for recent events and updates of public interest. We are looking for a modern, inviting user experience that emphasizes relaxing natural beauty with art/sculpture. Upon a successful contest win, I will very likely also further hire you to design additional site pages so that they are consistent with and expand upon your winning home page design.
We are looking for a modern, inviting user experience that emphasizes relaxing natural beauty with art/sculpture. The site should be responsive to both mobile phone and standard US computer screen sizes, with somewhat more emphasis on how it looks on smaller mobile phone screens since more users are expected for that smaller design size. Each sculpture will eventually have its own unique web page URL shown on a plaque by each sculpture so that a visitor can look up info on the web site while walking in the park and using a mobile phone. I have provided a detailed document that shows the initial structure and text for the entire site, which can serve as a reference guide for you. Nonetheless, I am very open to other ideas or adjustments whenever you have any suggested ideas or improvements beyond what I have outlined in the document. The park's logo has already been created and will be provided here, in addition to some starter photos that can optionally be used. Color scheme and design does NOT need to mimic the logo, though the logo should at least fit in with your broader site design. The park has not been created yet, so current placeholder photos can be replaced later. The optional photos + the logo is provided in various orientations and file types for you at this online folder: https://avalonrei-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/p/scott/EjPOXHqJ83hHi3O-W9Cf-W4Bw097_sWB6PvUE-e0NRVd_w?e=o1MZkd
Every page of the web site is specified in the provided Design Guidelines document. After you win the contest with the home page design, we can then follow up together after the contest for further work since I will very likely also have many of the web site pages designed as well to be consistent with your original designs here.
What to avoid
We are open to your creative inputs.
The long range intent is to have all photos come from the park. As mentioned, I have provided some starting photos that can be used if appropriate. Please feel free to use any photos in your design which can be used for commercial purposes, and which can serve as placeholders for similar photos that we can obtain later after the park is opened. Please provide final files in PSD and JPG formats.
