How SimplyGlobal Team started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
SimplyGlobal is a marketplace for Indians living in the US and other countries. One of the main services is the travel health insurance comparison and purchase. This design contest is for this service only
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Our existing website has a white background across all sections. The landing page of each section including the home page has an image at the top with form fields either on the image or below it. For the insurance section, we want to change this approach a little bit. We like the approach taken by progressive.com and on the same lines see the attached image for a page from our other website.... https://www.screencast.com/t/8J6SS3oZd
We want to improve the user experience for the travel health insurance section of the website. See https://simplyglobal.com/insurance/ for the existing landing page of the insurance service.
Here is what we are looking for:
1) A design that looks fresh and very clean. It should allow users to get to either the insurance plan list after entering some information really fast without too many visual distractions. Ease of entering information and then filtering and viewing insurance plan details is the key. When it comes to entering information, it will ideal to enter information with a minimum number of clicks
2) It should work really well both for Desktop and Mobile
3) The fields that they enter include the age of travelers and their dates of the journey. See the input fields on our insurance page on simplyglobal and then on the pricing details tab when you enter the comparison portion. Also see how this has been done by one of our competitors https://www.visitorscoverage.com/. And more importantly, look at how this been done by the other website examples given above in this brief
4) The price comparison tab on the next page is the other important part that we want to design really well apart from the landing page. The hard part about this page is to show all the required information to the users in a way that is not overwhelming to them. This requires you to take a look at how we have done it today and hour visitorscoverage.com has done. We want to do much better than them and this is one thing that would require inspiration from completely different websites. This is where we need most amount of help from the designer. Again, this is for both desktop and mobile
What to avoid
We can hopefully keep the same color scheme that we currently have on simplyglobal. As far as the UI elements go, the most easier to use on both desktop and mobile should be used. Airbnb, for example, has done a good job.
