mickjos got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Website and landing page design for B2B SAAS Mobile Data collection application
Check out mickjos's Web page design contest…
We sell a cloud hosted software as a service product. The product is used to create electronic forms on iOS and Android Device for data collection. The data collected is sent to our web portal and reports are generated and users can log in and download data. Our primary target audience is small, medium and large business with a mobile workforce that need to collect data from the field.
In general a simple, flat design with simple clear sections that articulate a message at a time and have a simple call to action. The colours that we had in mind are Blue, Black, Dark Grey, Red and White. But we are open to suggestions. Please see uploaded documents for a more detailed brief. I feel that a full page message at a time will work well. But am open to ideas. By scrolling down to the next section another simple message with a CTA will be displayed. Please see uploaded documents for a more detailed brief.
Page: Home Page The home page is the main landing page where customers will arrive and we will use this to articulate our message and to convert the customer into a trial customer. It will have the following elements somewhere on the page. Section: Top Navigation Home Tour Pricing Tutorials Section: Top right links Free Trial Login Section: Bottom Links Contact FAQ Privacy Terms of Service Element: Logo Our logo as per www.mobiledataanywhere.com Element: Value proposition Create powerful business apps for mobile data capture in minutes Element: Visual element A visual element such as an image or video or interactive sign up form to demonstrate what our product does. We have some ideas of what we want to do here. We just need to have them designed properly. Idea 1 Have a signup form that looks like a data collection app that they can use to enter their details and sign up. Idea 2 Have a paper based form and an electronic version of the form. Idea 3 One idea we have for a Call To Action is to ask them to upload a paper based form and we will convert it for them. If we could show a graphic that articulates that message and when they drag the form it uploads the form and launches the signup form for the trial to get their name, email and phone number that would be great. Other ideas Images of mobile devices with electronic forms, images of PDF reports, images of the web portal of our app or a similar representation. Element: Benefits 3 benefits Examples More accurate and faster data capture Effortlessly convert paper forms to electronic forms Manage your team from anywhere with everything in the cloud Element: Customer logos Show logos of our customers Note: We see all of the elements above remaining on the front page above the fold. As they scroll down they will scroll to a new section that will show a new message with a CTA, and will be clearly separate from the previous section. Section: App features This section is where we want to show in point form with some graphics what the features of the app are. There will be a CTA to sign up to the trial or go to take a tour. Below is an example mock-up of what it might look like and what elements will be part of the section. Section: Portal features This section is where we want to show in point form with some graphics what the features of the web portal are. There will be a CTA to sign up to the trial or go to take a tour. Below is an example mock-up of what it might look like and what elements will be part of the section. Section: Invitation to upload a form so that we can convert it for them This section will be where will invite the user to upload a paper based form such as a PDF to the website for us to convert for them. Below is a mock-up of what it could look like. Section: Metric’s Show a graphic of our app metrics Number of sessions collected Number of devices connected Number of forms uploaded Section: Sign up Have a section that just has the sign up form and the sign up CTA or the Take Tour CTA. Below is an example. Section: Call To Actions The call to actions that we will have on the page will be: Free Trial Take a Tour Download the iOS App Download the Android App Download the Designer App Upload a paper form and we will convert it for you Page: Tour Page This page will provide a tour of the features of the product. The basic idea is to have some form of menu on the left or somewhere on the page, and as the user scrolls down they will be able to see the different sections of the Tour and the section that they are viewing will be highlighted in the menu. There will be screenshots and explanations of the features. There will need to be a CTA to sign up for a free trial somewhere on the page at all times or each time they get to the end of a feature. There will be a CTA at the bottom of the page to sign up for a free trial. Page: Pricing Page This page will display 3 different pricing options with the different features. At the bottom of the page will be a CTA to sign up or take a tour. Page: Tutorials Page This page or section of the site will be used for tutorials on how to use the application. Refer to www.mobiledataanywhere.com/skills for an example of content that will be on these pages. We will need a standard template designed that can be used for this type of content. Please see uploaded documents for a more detailed brief.
Please see uploaded documents for a more detailed brief. asset_audit.zip contains screen shots of the actual app on the device and a more relevant example of a paper based form, with matching mobile forms.
