My student organization needs a simple / professional design. I really like the simplicity and format of stevepsharpe.com especially with the area at the bottom. The site will be run by a CMS so there needs to be login/register/etc information at the top of the page separated from the right nav bar (preferably along the same horizontal or above the logo area). The colors of the organization (primary colors) are garnet and gold while the colors of the university are burnt orange and white(secondary colors if it works). I also enjoy dark gray as a neutral color if it fits.

While the colors mentioned above are the colors required, this does not mean you have to use them literally. Gold doesn't come out right so try a pastel yellow. Garnet can be any deep red that looks right. I care less about the exact colors and more about being pleasing to the eye.

The page design you provide will be for blog pages as well as static pages so keep that in mind with your design. The final design must be a layered Photoshop or Fireworks design so our guy can easily convert the file into CSS.
