Splashy New E-Commerce site for Irrigation Distributor

Irrigation-Mart is a full-line irrigation dealership serving the agricultural, forestry, and landscape industries. We are known for our expertise in drip/micro irrigation for fruit, vegetable, and fiber production. We encourage precise monitoring and control of soil moisture and plant nutrition. We primarily target contractors working on long-term or larger projects, but we are looking to expand our existing retail (B2C) and use the site to find new customers.

Since we sell irrigation and water-based products, the theme of the site needs to revolve around water. We would like to see water droplets in the background and potentially used very subtly for other design elements, while not taking over the entire site. There could be an interesting sub-theme of plants growing from the water. This should not be used in all designs and would need to be extremely subtle. This should be directed more towards large agricultural fields more than a home garden. http://say-rain.com/about-us Our two main colors are: Blue = Pantone 2935C (Hex: 0057b8) Green = Pantone 362C (Hex: 509E2F) Other earth tones are encouraged.

The search bar in the header will be one of the most used features on the site. It needs to be big and prominent. General contact info (phone and email) and site navigation should also be in the header. A Mini shopping cart with quantities will need to be in the header. A 'products' dropdown that will list categories is also encouraged. We will also most likely have a 'Brands' drop down as well. A Hero slider on the main page with products and events. Featured products and main categories are potential sections of the body of the main page. The Footer should have additional information links and location information with full contact details.

While some of our customers do grow flowers, we are not looking for a flowery design.

We are open to any new ideas on how the new e-commerce site should look.
