Exactly what we were looking for, clean and effective design.
Xsquad was very responsive and offered multiple solutions for each problem I presented him with. He made sure he understood my specifications and kept working diligently until he came up with the winning design. If you are looking for a great designer, I highly recommend Xsquad!
How Bjblock started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Founded nearly 30 years ago the Block Center is one of the world’s leading cancer treatment facilities. An outpatient clinic specializing in the treatment of the entire range of cancers, the Block Center is dedicated to providing a caring environment that emphasizes the unique biological, physical and psychological qualities of each person we treat.
Our individualized programs are designed to give the patient the best opportunity to live better and to improve the overall quality of your life while you undergo treatment.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
The homepage should welcome users to our site, briefly describe our philosophy, and include a slideshow of patient stories. The site currently has a welcome letter on the homepage. Although we don't want our new site to feel overwhelming with so much text on the homepage, we do want the design to give this same sense of welcoming, hope, and respect for the cancer patients visiting the site. In addition to the homepage, we need a 2nd layout for the general content pages. As you can see on our current site, because cancer patients are looking for information, we provide a lot of it. On one hand, providing a lot of relevant and expert information is important. But we don't want this to get overwhelming, so the layout should make this content more accessible and readable. A 3rd layout is for a page of videos. We are currently producing several short videos which we will post on our site.
The nature of the site needs to represent the uniqueness and innovation of the care we provide while simultaneously being sensitive to the emotional state of those battling cancer. It needs to be informative but not overbearing, scientific and professional but also welcoming, warm and clean. ****Although we have provided our current website, we do not want the new site to look at all similar. Please only refer to it to understand our business and philosophy.**** | ****We are also redesigning our logo, so please keep in mind that our logo will likely be changing. (We encourage you to check out our logo contest as well).****
