LIW is a media creation brand. It inspires wonder through music, art, and storytelling. Visuallly the the brand would like to use elements of Carnivale and Burning Man - The site needs to look stunning when a user first lands on there. It should invite the user to interact and explore.
First look through the content in the Google drive we're more interested in presenting the content in a creative, fun and inspirational way. Colors: (Think Carnivale - A family friendly version of the Burning Man festival and the Electric Daisy Carnival - and the film Big Fish) There are images in the Google drive folder that will illustrate the look the owner is going for. Yellow Gold Red Blue Orange Green -------------------------------------for your consideration------------------------------------------------- Our initial concept was that the entire site would be viewed from the perspective of someone driving an old VW bus.- (See, “Bus Concept”folder.) - The brand started with the owner driving a 1971 VW bus while he followed the Grateful Dead around for a summer- -The dashboard of the bus would incorporate the dynamic social elements. as well as be the main navigation hub for the site -The inside of the bus is to be filled with wonder: Polaroids pinned to the walls, a stuffed turtle on the dash, Dream Catcher, concert, posters, etc. These elements will be interactive, and will take the user to wonder inspiring content. Textures: Old polaroid, back roads america, dusty carnival.
Pages: 1) Home: The home page needs to introduce the visitor to the brand, educate the user on how to navigate the site and as always inspire wonder. 2) Road to Wonder: Concept is the user is cruising down the highway. As the journey continues, Billboards start coming into view and then past the field of view, giving the impression the user is in a moving car (initially all content is LIW. As the brand grows this content will be community driven.) Content is interactive and will be “click-able” 3) Wonder Lounge: In each video Eric invites musicians to sit with him by a fire on the beach and talk about their lives. There are photos of the set to give you an idea of what the video look and feel are. 3) Acoustic Wonder: Musicians and Poets performing impromptu for LIW Sunset Sessions: Guest Musicians (the only video we have is of Jason Mraz) 4) Press: This page will be the hub to see any TV interviews. Content initially will be the same as the current site and will change out as we get new video content. 5) Contact Us: Open to suggestions to make this creative and engaging There is a shopping cart aspect to this that will need to be branded as well *Store*- Simple and clean. There are only a few items right now but the catalog will be growing as LIW continues to scale. We have a picture of an area with some merchandise displayed in a physical store. We might be able to include the look of that into the online store, again we’re open to suggestions.
What to avoid
The only consideration is that we are speaking to a more adult audience- so avoid any design that would appear juvenile.
