Community & Non-Profit
Challenge For Change is a pilot fundraising event for Engineers Without Borders Canada. We are a race involving teams of four runners who make choices along the way that determine the paths they run. Teams follow a storyline that reflects EWB's approach to intelligent development to eliminate extreme poverty in rural Africa. Along the way, runners must make tough decisions, test their endurance and rely on teamwork to navigate the trails. At our parent organization, Engineers Without Borders Canada, we invest in people—smart systems changers, and we incubate the systemic innovations that they create to accelerate rural African development. It’s not about projects. It’s not about technology. It’s about people working with people to create lasting, scalable change that unlocks human potential.
http://runtoendpoverty.ca - This is the site for our parent event. This one should be the main inspiration but we definitely see room for improvement. Think of this as a place to start. The site can also borrow elements from the Engineers Without Borders Canada site, in order to highlight our association: http://www.ewb.ca/
● See wireframes for the two pages: 1. http://r2ep.lifeoutthewindow.com/index.php 2. http://r2ep.lifeoutthewindow.com/team.php ● Pages must contain all the elements provided in the wireframes provided above but the positions and sizes of these can change. ● Site container must be fixed-width and 980px wide ● We design around a grid with 12 divisions so if your design also uses a 12 grid then we will consider it above others that do not. ● Site will be themed as a responsive layout and will re-organize itself to fit on mobile devices. This means that continuous graphics that span the entire width of the page (except for the banner) are to be generally discouraged unless you can find a really interesting way to do it.
We want a generally upbeat and adventurous feeling to the design. The main color to emphasize is orange, however, no colors are off limits. Our event structure is based loosely on the format of Choose Your Own Adventure books (http:/ /en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choose_Your_Own_Adventure, http://www.cyoa.com/)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Web page design starts at €549.

Bethborody collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
