We are a world famous singing group made up of 73-89 year olds who sing rock songs.
What's your vision?
The Young@Heart Chorus is a rock group made up of 73-89 year olds celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2012. We're looking for a great 30th Anniversary T-Shirt design with an icon/insignia on it that we can also use on stickers, our website, a 24-page Tour Book, a new CD, etc. Watch these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjnfoFg7i7g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_n0zvoHlVk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0ot6r4KlOs&feature=relmfu This icon MUST work well very small (on CD or sticker) & very large (on T-Shirt). Below are a few examples of icons we like to draw inspiration from but not to copy. Be original. Unique. Understand who we are and make something that really reflects this one-of-a-kind music group. Experiment with different color combinations. But make sure they make sense together. We do like black, white and red. We like other colors too. Like blue and white and black. For the T-Shirt, we envision the icon being either small (approx 4 inches) on the front of the T-Shirt and large on the back of the T-Shirt (approx 12 inches). Or just having the insignia on one side and something visual but not an insignia on the other side. Look at the other T-Shirt designs attached below for examples of other designs we like. We also uploaded below 4 photos of the Chorus that could be included in your designs in some interesting way. Even a Now/Then idea. With a pic from Now and the pic from 1982 attached below. Not necessary but an idea. If you look at the Blondie T-Shirt below, the photo of her is integrated in a cool way. We also love the BEP T-Shirt. Don't use the font you see in our logo on our website. We want something different, edgy, something strong, bold, and beautiful. We really like the Daytona biker icon. The text elements that must be included in all designs are: “Young@Heart” and/or “Y@H” and/or “The Young@Heart Chorus” “30th Anniversary” “1982-2012” “This Is Getting Old” The visual elements that MUST be included in all designs are: 1) A 30th Anniversary Insignia -- must have energy, pop off the page, fun, spunky, vibrant, visually pleasing, classic, a design that fits with the vibe of our band – raucous rocking and spirited senior citizens who sing punk Rock songs. Must reference Rock'n'Roll in your insignia design! 2) Something visual that relates to Rock’n’Roll whether it’s a guitar, a microphone, a drum, whatever, there MUST be a strong visual connection to Rock 'n’ Roll. Look at how the Daytona Bike Week insignia has a motorcycle as a central aspect of the design, we need something similar that relates to Rock 'n' Roll. Look at the DVD cover below to the film "Young@Heart" about us. It has a guitar in it. Designs should work well in color and white on black and black on white. We will need printer ready 300dpi .AI and .PSD and .JPG files of the winner.
