khains got their new sticker by running a design contest:
Looking for clever designs for DANCE stickers
Check out khains's Sticker contest…
Entertainment & The Arts
Our target audience is dancers of all ages.
What's your vision?
I am looking to award multiple winners in this contest as we are seeking multiple sticker designs. The sticker design can be any shape. (die-cut, square, circle etc...whatever best goes with your design.) Size-wise, we'd prefer nothing larger than 5"x7". 3x3 and 4x4 are popular sizes. I am looking for designs that feature dance elements (ballet, tap, jazz, etc) or could have elements of famous ballets like The Nutcracker. A couple ideas: I would love a sticker that features the word dance in various languages like Danse (French), Tanzen (German), Danza (Italian), Tanets (Russian), etc.) A cartoon type sticker geared towards dance moms with the message "Dance Mom: Will Work For Leotards." Any parodies of existing logos/products that instead uses a dance word. (For instance, a Lays Potato Chip bag that says Ballet instead of Lays) Andy Warhol type art. Anything retro. Periodic Table Elements that use dance words (such as Ballet, Plie, Dance, Cambre, etc). We LOVE a good play on words. So if you find a way to create a play on words, like "Don't Worry, Be Frappe", we are all about that. (We already have a Don't worry be frappe design though so we don't need that one.) I will attach some images for references. Note I do not own the copyright of these images, I am just providing some inspiration for ideas that might work well with a dance them. (The word collage could be done in the shape of a pointe shoe, as an example.) **Note the attached images are just shown as examples for some of the ideas, I have suggested above. They are in no means a requirement. I want clever, unique, and one-of-a-kind submissions. So please feel free to show me all of your ideas. Please message me if you have any questions or if you have an idea that you'd like to check on with me before proceeding. **UPDATE** another suggestion. I've uploaded a copy of the radioactive sign. Perhaps a design that says CARDIOACTIVE. If the symbol could be modified to look like a dance figure or the like, that would be fun. We like the idea of playing on it but with it being fun and not scary. **UPDATE 2**: I will continue to throw different ideas in the brief until the contest ends. I have added two more images to the uploaded images. I would love an image that features characters from the Nutcracker (Clara, The Prince, The Nutcracker, Franz, Herr Drosselmeyer, and Sugar Plum Fairy, for example) posing on the iconic orange Friends couch. I have a logo that I own that could be used under it. (It's in the images as well.) It might be more than anyone wants to tackle, but just thought I'd put it out there.
I prefer that the designs are original (without stock image) as I want them to truly be one of a kind.
