ASSEN is a nonprofit organization specialized in helping children from poor families. Our objective is to support these children and their families to have a better life.
Our activity is close to that of “Save the children” :
- Sponsorship of children, so individual sponsors in France, Germany, Canada, etc. make donations every month and help us to provide food, clothes, education, healthcare, etc.
- Microprojects for these families to get a revenue, especially mums, like couture, sheep farming, pottery, etc.
- Support to primary schools in rural areas: building new classrooms, libraries and access to media
- Support sick and poor children to have appropriate care (especially for cancer expensive cares)
Our nonprofit is based in Paris and our projects are mainly in Tunisia, today.
Our members are mainly students and young workers from higher education (engineers, business, etc.).
Our audience is also mainly composed of young workers and students in the Paris area but we would like also to expand this audience to elder people over 40 years old.
Our organization is 4 years old. It has a large audience (10.000 followers on Facebook). It has a great image in the Paris area for Tunisian expats living in Paris. We are known to be serious and transparent about our activities.
