Brick Capital is an investment and incubation company, targeting start ups and early stage companies founded by veterans, run by veterans or targeting veterans as the principal customer base. As an incubator providing investment capital, administrative services and mentoring, we cater to entrepreneurs who have a strong passion for what they do, for the journey they're about to undertake and who care about the social or moral purpose to what they do. Our target audience is the founder or entrepreneur, seeking capital and seeking help and "sleeves rolled up" by their investor.

Although we cater to veteran-linked start ups and early stage companies, we are not a military organization and do not want to have overly militaristic branding: no tanks, jeeps, eagles, flags or jingoistic imagery. We are very focused on community. We picked the name "the Bricks" as this is a military slang expression for Barracks. It also suggests words such as growth, building, foundation, strength, togetherness. A brick wall is strong because each brick plays its role and supports those around it. We want to embrace a culture and set of values and which start with the brand and extend thereafter through behavior (ie founders who help each other, team-based problem solving, etc).
