We’re looking for a title card, a logo if you will, for a new internet show called Before The Court. This show will present a panel of experts in law, social justice, law enforcement and defense tactics to review viral police videos and represent the video to viewers as the videos would be presented to a jury in a courtroom. The goal of the show is to attack the consistent gap in knowledge which plagues the American culture as they view videos of police activity. So often, the community sees a video and expects a particular legal outcome, but then the juries will come back with entirely different findings and leave the community confused and angry. Before The Court aims to educate the public on the legalities and realities of the videos they see. Sometimes, this analysis results in difficult truths being exposed, whether the police officer or the community member is guilty of a crime. The producers don’t have any preconceived ideas of what this title and logo should look like, we are excited to see your creative ideas and how you interpret what this show is about. While the format of this show may seem familiar, essentially multiple experts discussing a topic, it’s the content which makes this project very difficult, challenging and sometimes very dark in the truths it exposes. We’re leaving it entirely up to you as a designer to interpret this project as you like from the beginning and show us your ideas.
