Community & Non-Profit
Current estimates say that around 800.000 refugees will arrive in Germany this year. They flee from countries where they face war and political persecution like Syria, Kosovo or Afgahnistan. Most of them are afraid of the terror in their countries caused by groups like Taliban, ISIS or they are persecuted by corrupt regimes. Our goal is to welcome these peoples in Germany warm-hearted, especially in our city Wernau. We are an ever-growing organization, belonging to the Protestant church of Baden-Württemberg, which takes care about the arriving refugees. We have established some facilities to support them with things of their daily needs and to integrate the refugees in our society. For example: We have teachers that are giving German lessons and we built up a place where we hand out donated clothes to the people which often only own what they carry on their body. We are working for charitable purposes, no one is paid for this work. To present the work to our fellows, we would like to introduce the arriving people and find more volunteers to support us.
What's your vision?
We’ve got a facility named CaféCult. This is a place where refugees and citizens of Wernau can meet each other, give German lessons and where we hand out donated clothes. It’s one big room with a small kitchen and toilets next to it. The next step is to install a sign above the front door so that everybody knows what’s inside. We already have this sign, but need a proper design for it. The sign is made of acrylic glass and the size of the sign is 2m x 0.5m. We would like you to have the CaféCult logo (see attachment) on it and maybe a few of the following keywords: - Willkommen heißen - unterstützen - Freundschaften schließen - hinschauen - Kontakte knüpfen - miteinander reden - einander begegnen I’ve attached a flyer, the official “Freundeskreis Flüchtlinge Wernau”-Logo (which should not be part of the sign because it’s already installed next to the sign) and a poster. We also have a homepage www.freundeskreis-fluechtlinge-wernau.de and a Facebook page: www.facebook.com/FreundeskreisFluechtlingeWernau . You can use all this materials to see what colors, fonts etc. we normally use. I also attached two pictures where you can see the future place of the sign. The sign is transparent (acrylic glass), and the wall behind the sign isn’t pretty. It could be a good idea to make a colorful or white background so that the wall won’t be visible after printing your design on the sign.
