Description of the product
Our product -serango- is a magnetic knife holder. An ideal way to store valuable kitchen knives and keep them sharp and close at hand.
Description of the product target audience
Audiences that are into cooking and usually have their own set of high-quality kitchen knives they want to store separately from a silverware drawer.
My team and I would like to have a simple and clean design. We gravitate towards design on natural cardboard with monochromatic elements or even just one shade of a color. Especially neutral tones like black, grey, or white. The color saturation or intensity for any of the latter can be high. Subtle touches of other colors could be present to emphasize or make focal points stand out even more. Fonts should have a neutral design without too many strokes. You can combine tall with short fonts to emphasize hierarchy and facilitate readability. The box front is on the opposite side of the tuck-in flap. Please look at die-cut provided. Here, there should be a picture or better said, just an outline or contours of the knife holder (see attached examples of packaging we liked for reference and articles_pictures.pdf to see photos of the product). The front also has the brand logo (serango) and the product description in both German and English. It also has a feature description. This feature should be somehow highlighted. The exact text with more details to be included on each side of the box can be seen in text.pdf. The logo files are also included. On the back side (tuck-in flap side) we have a short text about the product and some practical tips. On the practical tips part, we'd like to have a drawing (also outline drawing as in the front) illustrating the best way to remove a knife from the knife holder. Real pictures mimicking the movement are attached (please see text.pdf). The brand logo can also be present on the back. On one lateral side of the box, we have the company data, items included in the box, some symbols (e.g. recycling symbol), as well as the barcode (this one will be provided later on). The barcode is going to be black on white and should be placed on the bottom of this lateral side of the box. The three symbols/markings should be somewhere close to the barcode (more details on text.pdf). The remaining sides of the box do not have anything on it. Preferably just a plain background color with the serango logo subtly placed. You are very welcome to play with the structure and balance of the elements on any side of the packaging to the best of your ability. It should be easy to navigate for the reader. Using proximity to show the relationship between certain elements is fine but please do not stack too many elements on top of each other. Negative space is always good. All text is displayed in German and English. We look forward to getting to see your design!
What to avoid
Fonts with too many extra strokes. More than two types of fonts throughout the design. Too many stuff/elements stacked on top of each other.
Provided in die-cut
