We are after an A3 size poster that will predominantly be placed in fire stations around Qld.
The main aim of the poster is to introduce us, the Queensland Firefighters Charity (QFC) to the general firefighting community which is made up of permanent career, auxiliary (part-time) and rural (volunteer) firefighters.
The Charity started about 7 years ago but has only been fully operational for about the last 18 months.
We need this poster say: -
• Who we are
• What we do
• and to direct our target audience to our recently established website http://www.qfc.org.au where they can donate and read more.
The Charity looks after Firefighters and their families and the poster needs to reflect that we look after their workmates and their families as firefighters readily help others, but never ask for it for themselves.
The poster should generally provide some or all of the following information about who and what we do: -
'The Queensland Firefighters Charity (QFC) is dedicated to providing assistance that enhances the quality of life for serving and retired Queensland Firefighters and members of their families. The QFC was formed in the aftermath of the floods of 2010-11 that devastated many Queensland communities. Managed by a board of dedicated volunteers, the QFC has one simple goal; to provide practical assistance and solutions to members of the Fire and Rescue community while maintaining dignity. To help those whom put their lives on the line every day to save others, and support to their families in times of need.
The QFC is a non-for-profit and non-government funded charity which relies completely on the generosity and support of the Australian community.
The role of a Firefighter is one of bravery, loyalty and devotion to others. Like Firefighters, we at the Queensland Firefighters Charity are also passionate about our work and the assistance we provide to these men and women who risk their lives for ours."
It isn’t necessary that this information be verbatim, it just needs to cover this message.
The poster must direct readers to our website (http://www.qfc.org.au) to donate and for more information. This needs to be done by wording on the poster as well as giving them the option of using the QR code below.
The poster must contain somewhere the wording verbatim: -
"The Queensland Firefighters Charity is part of the Australian Firefighters Necessitous Circumstances Fund, administered by Australian Firefighters Inc., a Registered Australian Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (Charity ABN 77506290589) All donations over $2 to the Queensland Firefighters Charity and Special Appeal Funds are tax deductible."
It must also have our QFC Logo and the Australian Charities Logo featured on it somewhere.
We have 2 testimonials/messages that can be included, each one has a corresponding picture below:
These Testimonials are: -
Ricky and Danielle Ward, Port Douglas
"We cannot express enough how much help you have all given us, during our time of need. We definitely could not have done it without your ongoing support and will definitely help fund your charity in the future and promote your amazing work."
This second one is about Joe Torrisi, a firefighter who was almost killed in the Ravenshoe Explosion in 2016. This incident received a massive amount of media coverage and this may be of some use on the poster, his testimonial is: -
"My family and I would like to thank Queensland Firefighters Charity for their great support during and after my recovery in hospital and at home. Once again Thank You for the great support and financial assistance."
We have no specific style or type of poster in mind.
