Entertainment & The Arts
Hi, my name is Björgvin Benediktsson and I run www.audio-issues.com. I help musicians and producers make a greater impact with their music by teaching them how to produce and engineer themselves. I'm collaborating with another musician on the Bedroom Producer Program - How To Write, Arrange, and Produce Your Own Work and I need a cool poster/product image for our course.
What's your vision?
I am releasing a Bedroom Producer Program course in the middle of April. I need a design that I can advertise it with, but also make it the cover of the course as it is ordered online. At the top, I need the title to stick out: Bedroom Producer Program with the subtitle: How To Write, Arrange, and Produce Your Own Work I need the names of the teachers: "Ed Elefterion With Björgvin Benediktsson" on the bottom of the poster. I have a very specific brand style that you can see with most of my product images at www.audio-issues.com/products I want a cool, cartoonish style cover that catches the eye and looks unique. Please also take a look at my previous design contest to see the style I am looking for. The three things this cover needs to convey is: 1. Home studio of some sort (or music production equipment) 2. One person doing all the things in the studio (writing/recording/mixing etc) 3. Fun and entertainment One idea I have in mind is to incorporate the human-ness of making music with the robot/machine style of the music production equipment, making a pseudo human/robot graphic that looks like it belongs in the same category as the other products I have made that I have attached. I would like the cover to be similar in design to my ebooks, Step By Step Mixing, Better Mixes in Less Time, EQ Strategies, Expert Home Vocals and Drum Mix Toolkit which you can see on the following pages: www.StepByStepMixing.com www.DrumMixToolkit.com www.EQStrategies.net www.ExpertHomeVocals.com What I like about my previous covers is that they combine the music production element in some way with something different (like the blender, hourglass and chessboard). My previous eBooks have great covers that have the "fun" "interesting" "different" and "unique" design that I'm looking for. Please research those design in-depth to get a feel for what I'm looking for. Also, please refer to my website for a better understanding of my brand in general: www.audio-issues.com The poster will be mostly used in a 2D image format but it would be nice to see the cover as a 3D image for promotional purposes. I will also be converting it into a big box course graphic as well.
I'm a big fan of cartoon-style covers, with cool drawings that capture the imagination and convey what the book is about. I like simple covers that are modern. I like lighter to medium colors. Very dark or black covers won't be attractive to me. Emphasis on the title is very important but it will need an anchor image/background of some sort to convey the "Music production/mixing" topic of the book, although it can't be too noisy or loud. A nice color scheme of only a few colors that complement each other is important.
