This is a reward chart made to improve the way children act/take instruction. Target audience children ages 3 to 8; their parents and grandparents.
What's your vision?
We want to design a reward chart (chore chart) for kids. We want to name the chart All Grown Up! Reward Chart. We would like our design to resemble a "white barn look" and cartoon farm animals. The board will be 15.5 inches tall by 11 inches wide, and it should have rows and columns in the middle (6 down and 7 across). Similar outline to the attached image (I can do it! reward chart). In order to fit the chore pieces and star pieces on this board, the squares must be the following measurements: Chore squares (6 boxes for the far left column) are 1 3/4 inches X 1 3/4 inches, the remaining are star squares 1 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide. So the portion of the board that will be for the chore and star pieces will need to extend just about the entire width of the board, and about 11 inches tall. The size of this part is important, because when the board is printed, we need to be able to fit the star and chore pieces into the squares respectively. Our goal is to make this exciting for kids, but make it look nice for the parents kitchen at the same time (which will be our differentiator from the competition). The actual chore and star plastic pieces will be a separate project (see additional comments) so for the board design, these will just be blank squares (maybe we can incorporate some sort of design here but im not sure). There should be some sort of a section to write down the goal and reward for the child. Im not sure if this should be at the top or at the bottom, two boxes/areas or one. At the very bottom of the board should be in small writing: www.playcoproducts.com Designed in USA Made in China March 2019. See attachment "rewardchartmockup3" to see what kind of idea we are going for. We should incorporate our logo somewhere on the board as well.
We would also like to work with the winner of our contest to design 20 chore pieces that will be printed on stickers and placed on our plastic chore pieces that will come with our chart. This will be an additional project that we would like to complete as soon as this project is completed.
