Community & Non-Profit
Our Foundation runs a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and uses the event to raise funds for financially-needy kids to have scholarship opportunities to participate in extra-curricular sports and activities.
What's your vision?
We need a poster designed to advertise our event. This is our 10th annual event, so we should have a bit more emphasis on that point than previous years. We need graphic elements that can be used to adapt the poster into a postcard as well, which we can do. Essentially, we need help with the look-n-feel of our tournament this year. Our wish is for something that is "street" and maybe even a little "edgy," but still "family-oriented" and definitely not "thug'ish." It is basketball...it's a community event...we shut down streets and have about 25 courts on the streets...and we draw roughly 10,000 spectators. We play around a community park (Esther Short Park in Vancouver, WA) and we have teams ranging from little kids to older adults. The posters will end up being 11x17" and distributed locally to generate event registration. Our event logo must be used as is, but all other design elements (color, graphics, fonts, imagery, etc.) are to your discretion.
We've uploaded last year's poster as a frame of reference of the past, but don't let it restrict your creativity. We will likely be responsible to put the final touches on the poster, in regards to sponsor logos and dates and urls, etc. Event dates are 8/19-8/21 this year.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Postcard, flyer or print starts at €179.

And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
