We are an inspiring Rehearsal Studio that offer's bands an amazing space to write great songs in. We're situated in Perth, Western Australia and have 17 custom built rehearsal rooms.

This poster has two objectives I'd like to achieve. Firstly I want to create an amazing A2 poster to help advertise my rehearsal studio in cafes, bars, stores and studios across Perth, Western Australia. Secondly, I'd like to use this poster as a give away to my best customers as a thank you for all their support over the years. I'll print it up on high grade A2 card and give one copy to each member of all the featured bands on the poster. The actual idea is to create a 'Concert Style Poster' billing the main bands that call The Hen House home. It will look like an epic line up of the 'who's who' of Perth music...But it will essentially be an advert for all the bands that simply rehearse at my studio. Not an actual show. A bit about The Hen House - Established in 2010 - Largest Studio in Perth - Inspired by Tattoo artwork and Rock n Roll culture - Lots of huge murals along all the walls and in each room. - Core colour scheme of White, Black & Red with a few hints of Gold and Silver. DESIGN IDEA'S I have attached a number of poster's that I like for inspiration. I am particularly fond of the Shepard Fairy 'OBEY' poster style. It is of a similar colour scheme and demographic as my studio. My favourite of the posters is the 'Lollapalooza' poster. I really like the way they used 10 main bands and then were able to get another 20 bands on the poster utilising the rays around the subject. This will be tricky as we don't want to use all the space on the poster simply listing all 30 bands. Feel free to be creative with this. I have included a couple of other posters I like as well. I have listed the bands from most important 1st to last. It may be best to pick 10 to 12 of the first bands listed and use them as the main 'headliners' before using a smaller font for the rest. I have also incorporated a Hi Rez picture of one of my murals from the studio. The Skull with Diamond Eye's is a real favourite of mine and I would love to include this with in the poster. Feel free to do what ever you like with the actual image but if we can get it onto the poster then great. Feel free to edit it...add to it and get creative with it. Illustrate it.Make it fit with the overall vibe and feel of the poster. I have also attached the official 'Hen House Font' if you can use it that would be ideal...but I am open to other fonts if need be. Does it have to be an OBEY inspired poster...No, I am just referencing that as I do like that Russian propaganda style...By all means if you have something else you think will fit with the 'rock n roll' rehearsal studio vibe then go for it. Otherwise use OBEY posters an inspiration and get creative... Does it have to be Black White and Red?
