Totally happy with this guy! He totally hit my nerve with his design. Although it was really a hard competition, his designs have been something own, fresh and made with passion (no copy or modifying other good designs). Happy that he joined my competition! And I am happy with the logo for my own little company now.
We've communicated a lot and tried out a lot of different versions to find the perfect result. I love it and I am not only satisfied or happy with the work - I am also grateful that our paths have crossed here on my search for the right logo. Thank you again and keep the good works going!

We are renovating a 1940's neighborhood movie theater. We are starting by opening a restaurant and a brewery in part of the space. Phase 2 will be to renovate the actual movie theater. We are going to launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project. This poster will be hung in local businesses, as well as turned into a post card and mailed to every person in town.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need a "Coming Soon" movie poster.

This poster needs to get a lot of information a crossed. It is not going to be easy to do that as well as not make it look to cluttered or busy. It needs to get the point that our kickstarter campaign is "Coming Soon". (kickstarter is a fundraising campaign). It needs to get the point a cross that the theater is in bad shape. We want to fix that by renovating the building. We are starting by putting in a restaurant bar, The Projection Room, and a brewery, Cinema Brewing. These are what the first round of fundraising is going to be for, so they need to be incorporated into the design. But it is the responsibility of the people of Des Moines to contribute money if they want this to happen. If they want a nice place to go with their friends or family, they need to pitch in. If they want to turn an ugly building into a beautiful 1940's iconic landmark theater, they are going to have to help.
The 3 black and white pics are of the building with me showing some of the proposed changes. There will be a railing all the way accross the 2nd floor. There will be come trim/cornice or architectural changes to the roof line, so it is not just a boring edge of brick. The brewer sign at the far left is going to be real. The theater marquee is an example, and the projection room sign is going to be real. The other 2 are examples. The 1 on the far r is really a book store. I will upload real logos for all of those later.
The high heel poster example was just to show a way you could possibly incorporate different pictures of the building as it is now. The other example was just one I found that seemed to allow you to get multiple things pointed out. They are just examples, and I don't want you to try and use them for anything other than those 2 points.
