Art for a new podcast for leading-edge manufacturers

I need a cover for my podcast, "The Manufacturing Exchange", which I just launched. You can go to https://themanufacturingexchange.com to see the current album artwork and my company logo. The problem with my current artwork is that it doesn't scale down and remain visible well. Many of the places where people will view the cover will be on a 1"x1" (or less) screen. The thin font in my current art essentially disappears and factory inside the microphone is illegible. I need something that is legible, professional, and immediately says "manufacturing". The name comes from "An exchange of ideas". I have a newsletter that has contributors that are industry experts, and then I interview them on the podcast. Some of the words that people use to describe me are "Straight forward, common sense, and no bullshit". I use everyday language and I work hard to simplify complex topics. While my clients are mostly mid-aged men, and I'm personally a little more than middle-aged, I don't want this to look old school and stodgy. Clean and modern would be good. I will likely get down to my 3 favorites and then run a poll on LinkedIn for a final selection. It is OK to use "MFG" instead of writing out the entire word Manufacturing. Everyone who I am trying to reach knows that MFG is Manufacturing. That may help to reduce the length so that the font can be larger and easier to read. I'd prefer if "Exchange" is not the dominant word on the page. Podcast album art needs to be perfectly square and between 1400x1400 and 3000x3000. One last thing...I need to be able to modify it every week to put the Episode number on it. So, there will be the master image associated with the podcast as a whole, and then a unique image for each episode. I'm comfortable enough with Illustrator to make text changes. If you could indicate how you would envision the Episode number being presented on the image I would appreciate it.
