We're a high end residential tile setting company serving upper middle class to upper class home owners. Our niche is designing custom medallions and inset patterns that set us apart from the standard installs in the industry. We obtain 99% of our business through referrals and try to shy away from working with builders and designers. This enables us to work more directly with the homeowner and have more creative flexibility with our projects.
What's your vision?
We are launching a customer referral program and are looking to have a "postcard" designed as a mailer to our past clients. We're encouraging you to be creative with the layout and wording of the entire postcard as we really have just a rough idea of how we want the final product. We'll be as diligent as possible providing feedback, especially early on so we can steer the design based off the early rough drafts you put together. Here is what we'd like the mailer to include: The referral incentive is a "kickback" of 5% of the total referred job cost up to $300. (Other than the terms of the incentive feel free to "introduce" the incentive with whatever wording ideas you have) We'd like the postcard to be used as a mailer approximately 9x7 (totally flexible with the exact dimensions) with a spot for postage and an address to be placed. We're thinking a double sided post card will suite our needs best. We'd like the overall feel of the post card to be classy with an old world vintage feel. Possibly with a victorian feel. We'd like it to parallel the fine attention to detail we've become know for in our trade. That being said we'd also like it as simple as possible. There are a few photos of a tan/brown colored travertine backsplash. We'd like the color scheme for the card to be pulled from this. We're hoping for a modeled or marbled natural stone feel with various shades within the color group used. Feel free to pull any other elements from the splash to use on the card. There are also a couple of pages with scroll/spindle designs we thought were neat. They might be used to border separate elements of the card or as a header or footer. We don't need to do any real selling here since, hopefully, our past customers will take care of that for us. Also, they will all be contacted via phone prior to the mailer going out so they'll be familiar with the program so there's no need to give any sort of instruction. The idea is for our customer to have two referral cards (about the size of a business card) they can cut out of the post card to hand to the referee. One side will have our type font "logo" and contact information. (name and phone, which I'll supply when the final design is chosen) On the other we'd like an area for the referrer to print their name and phone number so that when the referee contacts us we'll have the referrer's information. I created the type font logo using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 and have uploaded it in a few different formats, along with the font (shrewsbury) I used to create it, in the event you have to recreate it in a different format. *Notice how the word "Tile" is a bit bolder than the rest of the name* Also this is a link to a photobucket slideshow featuring a few of our installs. http://s151.photobucket.com/albums/s126/switchpath/Tile%20and%20Stone/?albumview=slideshow Feel free to use any of the photos for the post card and let me know if you'd like different angles of one of the install photos.
Age and gender are, for the most part, not something we target. Though, most of our clients are between the ages of 30 and 60, married, and the wives seem to have a little more influence, on average, that the husbands when working on projects. Most of our clients are well educated and come from a huge variety of backgrounds with broad interests. The most significant common denominator between our clients is having money to spend and a desire to improve the aesthetics of their living environment. Its tile, its a luxury, must I say more? Last but not least this is our vision statement and the life blood of our organization. It may help you when formulating the overall feel.
