Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We teach ballroom, latin, swing and salsa dancing. We are also the most highly competitive dance studio in North Alabama.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I will be putting the design on the sides of a 2001 Ford cargo van. As of right now, we are thinking the van will be bright yellow. I would like it to look very classy, elegant and modern. I don't want anyone to miss it. I would like the design on each side and something for the back of the van. I will send a logo and some ads with information. Creativity would be great. The studio offers private lessons and group classes. We host weekly dance parties. We also have wedding packages available.
We cater to a large group that covers the age scale. Our competitors generally range in age from 16 up to their mid 30's. We have a few that are older. We have a large portion of our student body that is in it for strictly social dancing. They mostly range in age from forties on up. Couples and singles are both welcome. A dance partner is not needed nor required. I would say that our target audience would mostly be adults (age from 40 to 65) upper middle class and higher. This group is mostly interested in learning to dance and enjoying the social aspect of it. The younger audience (16 to 30's) is mostly interested in the competitive aspect. We also have a large group in "college young adult" age range that represent salsa and latin dancing. The younger group mostly learn through "group classes" that are available within the studio. These are offered at a cheaper rate, more attractive for the younger crowd. The older group take mostly private lessons. This is the best and preferred way to learn, however, is more expensive therefore attracting people that tend to be more stable and financially comfortable.
