We stage small shows for fringe audiences and tourists
We are putting on a small show called Sir Walter Scott: Ghost Hunter. This will be a show that runs in a Georgian Building, and talks about the history of the Scottish writer, Sir Walter Scott, reveals that he was into ghosts, and then there is a seance to contact his spirit (actually a magic show!). So, we need a graphic for the show to attract people. The show is historical and funny, and a bit scary at the end. But we don't want anything that suggests the occult. It should be the sort of image that might sit happily in a National Trust leaflet, or a high end web site for an historical attraction. It would be good if it featured Scott, and a suggestions of ghosts, or something haunting. It needs to appeal to American tourists and a fringe audience and be striking. We have uploaded a couple of images that seem to be in the right direction, including one of a Scott skull head (although this seems a bit too scary, maybe there is a way of making it more ghost, less skull), the most famous image of Scott, and one from another artist showing the type of style we like. The final image will be for a website and also print.
Just thoughts, but maybe we are seeing Scott arrive at a Haunted Castle, or coming through a misty door, or it is a portrait that has been changed to be haunting. As I say, we like the skull head but it needs to be softened in some way.
