instamerchs got their new other art or illustration by running a design contest:
Children's Nighttime Reading Light Needs Illustration for It's Package Design
Check out instamerchs's Other art or illustration contest…
**Disregard and delete any current designs in the box template** Our product is a play and mobile battery charged reading light that encourages kids to read more but uses warm sunset colors so they can go to bed easier at night. With kids starting at screens more these days, the daylight blue toned light keeps them up longer. Our orange sunset toned light signals to their mind it's time to go to bed allowing them to get better sleep. Mothers and parents are the ones buying these lights for their children. This light can be for anyone who has a kid or more specifically any parent that has difficultly getting their kids to sleep at night.
What's your vision?
**Disregard and delete any current designs in the box template** Focus on the illustration at first and I will hire the winner to tailor it into a package design after. The package design is $300 after winner is selected. Think of dual worlds. Sunlight and bright light during the day and orange sunset light to ease the kid into bed time. Themes: Reading, daylight, sunset, peaceful bedtime I want an illustrated package design. Super cute characters and settings. Simple easy to understand graphics. A vibrant transition going from an outdoor sunset to indoor bedroom showing a quiet peaceful bedtime. Color, theme, and illustrations should wrap around the box. Front Cell: Show an illustration of the light or an illustration of the light in use, our logo, brand name, cute child or animal, and product name. Perhaps a transition from daylight, to sunset, to peaceful bedtime. Cool dream bubbles are a plus. Side Cell: Leave space for 3 paragraphs of 2-3 sentences each. They will be statistics about why is it good for children to read and benefits for starting them reading early. Side Cell: Illustrate how the light works like the photos shown. Stack them on top of each other. Show this text for each position... "Position one: Leave the gooseneck up for brighter daylight toned light and place in any position" "Position two: Move the gooseneck down toward the body of the light and nestle the tip of the head into the lamp position" "Position three: Click the light head into the clip on the body of the lamp where the light head and the gooseneck meet." Back Cell: On the back, I want a diagram showing color spectrum of light from blue/daylight to orange/sunset. (I have attached a photo-real example of a color spectrum in the provided files) Please show that screens fall in the daylight/blue section and simplify the spectrum. We do not need 14 cells as the photo-realistic example I have provided has shown. It's too much. Include the following text below the diagram "Screens give off blue light tones. Blue tones indicate to your child that it's daytime and that they should be awake. Our light replicates sunset tones to help your child fall asleep faster. This signals to the body that nighttime is coming and soon it will be time to sleep."
"Kids bedtime reading light" is the name Keep it simple. I would rather it be simple and abstract than cluttered with unnecessary items. You shoudn't need to use stock photos as this is all illustration but you can if you think it will be better for the design. The product photos of the light are old and not accurate. The main body is orange now, not yellow. The gooseneck head light is still blue/white light. We will be increasing the quality of the photos too so please do not lower quality of design to that of the photos. These are just to show you how the light looks.
