How rversloot started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Business & Consulting
We are in the talent management domain (Human Resources).
The main purpose of the app is to gather information from employees by asking them a couple of questions every week. Answering these questions should be very easy. The answers will give them insight where they are in their carreer.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
We would like to have the UI have icons at bottom of the screen.
Like my LinkedIn app on my iPhone or Shazam. So the user can switch very easy between screens.
As to the color we would like the app to have a trustworthy feeling. Nothing flashy, more businesslike colors, greenish, bluish, but fresh and light.
An example app we like is the ABNAMRO light green appearance. As this is a banking app and not available without an account we will add some print screens.
We feel that the current apps are moving to a more minimalistic design. Lots of white and spacious. We like this.
We would like a design of the question screen. Including all menu choices (icons) to navigate to the screens.
• Ask Feedback
• Give Feedback
• Settings (profile, does not necessarily needs to be part of the menu, could be separate icon if that looks better)
Presents the questions which can be answered by clicking on: thumbs up, down, neutral; five stars; 3 smileys and five options to choose from (text and checkbox).
Are you happy in your job?
Do you find it important to have management tasks?

What to avoid
I attached a few draft screenshots we created for ourselves. IMPORTANT: Use these as a general guide to what data we want to display not as any advice/guide to how the screen should be composed or look like. Feel free to come up with a totally different user interface, add/remove some of the data elements, etc.
