A word game where users find words by swiping letters.
Something simple, yet attractive.
Lexophile: Word Puzzles
I need the design created for a mobile game that will be available on Google Play and the App Store. The game will be very similar to this in terms of gameplay, but I need a completely new and attractive design: http://bit.ly/2nOVs0K The only difference will be that Lexophile's levels will be categorized by stories: There will be 12 stories, each having a number (around 20-30) of levels. So, instead of 200 levels, there will be 12 stories with 20-30 levels each. Resolution required: 960x1536. At the bottom there will be a black empty space: 960x160 (this is where the banners ads will go). When you build the design, make sure it's 960x1536 but build your design in the 960x1376 remaining space). Upon completion, design needs to be provided in clean and organized PSD files that are easy to use. Description of the screens: Screen 1 is the main screen. There will be 7 buttons: - Stories (this will be the main button) (will advance to Screen 2 when pressed) - Competition (this is a different game mode) - Shop (will open a pop-up where users can buy hints) - Settings (will open a pop-up where users can change different settings like sounds, notifications, etc) - Leaderboards - will say the IQ value of the user (will open a third-party interface when pressed) - Invite Facebook friends (will open a third-party interface when pressed) - Play our best word game (will open a third-party interface when pressed) ========== Screen 2 is the page showing the 12 stories: - On God’s Time - Shake off Your Problems - Everyone Has a Story in Life - A Dish of Ice Cream - The Dean Schooled Them - The Right Place - Value - Colonel Sanders | Kentucky Fried Chicken - The Elephant Rope - A Very Special Bank Account - The Obstacle in our Path - Potatoes, Eggs and Coffee Beans Each of these stories will be a button that will advance to Screen 3. Next to each story there should be graphic illustrating if that story has been completed (green checkmark?), if it's still in progress (showing the letters found: 1234/5678) or if it's locked (lock sign) At the top left, there should be a back button to take the users back to the previous screen. ========== Screen 3 is the level selector screen. Here, users can select from the 20-30 available levels. There should be a graphic illustrating if that level has been completed, is still in progress or is locked. At the top left there should be a back button to take the users back to the previous screen. At the top there should be a title saying the name of the Story they have chosen in the previous screen. At the top right there should be a progress indicator showing the number of hidden letters they have found in this story: 1234/5678. When pressing this indicator, a pop-up appears showing them all the hidden letters they have found, with this text at the bottom: "When you collect all the letters, you will be able to read the story and collect your bonus." If the user has already collected all the letters, there should be a button replacing that text, saying: Read Story. Pressing any of the levels will take users to Screen 4. ========== Screen 4 is the category selector screen. There will be 10 categories in each level. Example: Dancing, Military, Mythical, Animals, etc. I have the icons for these categories (there are about 70 in total) already, you don't need to build them. Just use a dummy one and I will change them programatically, depending on the user's progress. At the top left there should be a back button to take the users back to the previous screen. At the top there should be a title saying the name of the Story and the Level. At the top right there should be a progress indicator showing the number of hidden letters they have found in this story: 1234/5678. Pressing any of the 10 categories will take users to Screen 5. ========== Screen 5 is the game screen, where users actually get to play. Please play Wordify (link in the beginning of the description) to understand. In the center of the screen there are the letters that users can swipe to build words. The letters are displayed in hexa-style blocks. Just above the letter blocks there will be a small space where users can see the word being built. Under the blocks in the middle there is another set of blocks that show the length of the words that need to be found. At the bottom of all these (but above the banner space, there should be 3 buttons: Restart, Use Hint (23) and Ask a Friend. Pressing Ask a Friend will show a pop-up where users are asked if they would like to ask their friends to help them solve that level. At the top left there should be a back button to take the users back to the previous screen. At the top there should be a title saying the name of the Category they have selected in the previous screen. When users find all the words, the screen is covered by the following information: - the IQ they have - number of hidden letters found in this category and the total number of hidden letters in the story. - A few lines of Did you Know facts. When users complete the last category in a level, the information in the previous paragraph is replaced by a notice that they have completed the level. These are all the screens required at this time. I will also need 3 different icons for the game (1024x1024) and 5 screenshots to upload to Google Play and the App Store. Note: It is very important that you play Wordify to understand how Lexophile should be. As I said, the difference between Wordify and Lexophile is that Lexophile will have the levels organized under 12 stories and users will reveal hidden letters to read those stories. Here are a few designs I like: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.peoplefun.wordcross&hl=en http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZJbjiVCvmRY/VZAajQGXooI/AAAAAAAABqo/VNQxfB9c_Hg/s1600/WordMeUp_Menu.jpg http://www.designtos.com/postpic/2015/08/illustration_24883.jpg I am looking for something simple, yet attractive. I would love a new / different from the ordinary navigation system. Update #1: Here are the measurements for Screen 5: - 120px for the top area - 68px for the "word preview" => positioned between the top area and the hex grid; - 792px for the hex grid (this will be populated with hex blocks: 4 blocks on the lower levels up to 58 blocks on the highest levels); - 260px for the area where the word lengths are (under the hex grid); - 136px for the area where the bottom 3 buttons are (restart, use hint, ask a friend); - 160px for the banner ads.
