We manufacture and sell keychains and other metal gifts.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are looking for a creative design that will be made in metal as a key chain attachment, typically bought as a gift. This specific key chain will be for bosses or coworkers in an office. We want a fun-looking metal attachment that has the phrase, "I survived another meeting that should have been an email" as the main part of it. We are looking for good-looking typography for the phrase. We will leave it up to your design style as far as including other visual elements aside from the text. We will leave the shape of the keychain up to you.
Keep in mind that metal is best designed with two "levels"...raised and recessed. So don't go crazy with gradients and things like that. (Texture is OK, but gradients can be tough.) Typically we have the designs done in two-colors...one representing raised and one representing recessed. You can also have parts that are "cutout" or removed altogether, but remember you can't have "floating" pieces.
UPDATE (Feb 23): Keep in mind that, as a keychain, this medallion might end up in someone's pocket. Overly-sharp corners should be avoided. Thanks!
For examples of past keychains you can visit our site at http://southcreektrading.com/products This gives you some ideas, but we are hoping to get away from the plain circle style. The dog-tag style might be OK, depending on the design, but we're hoping to get something brand new from this contest.
