13 Vapes needs a trendy logo!

13v / 13vapes

We are building a vaping magazine that will feature juices and vaping mods and accessories. We also may venture in things like retail, our own brand of juices and mods. We will target Europe and South America with editions in Portuguese and English.

Thirteen is (“Treze” in Portuguese) is a name we picked because of how much it keeps coming up. We work on the thirteen floor, there are 13 ranks in a poker deck of cards, it is a prime number, it’s also a lucky/unlucky number depending on your point of view. Also, in Portuguese, Treze is a slang for crazy! Quite fitting if you ask us.

We think our public is 25-35, quite gender balanced and is made of people with an open mind to try new things. Unlike cigarettes, vaping can look daunting at first. So being curious and open minded is a trait. Therefore our target public is open to different designs. We like urban/street feel and also modern. Graffiti and tattoo art are some influences that can be borrowed although we don’t really want to commit to it.

We want the logo to work both with English and Portuguese words: Thirteen and Treze, so we can choose accordingly. It would be nice to also incorporate the numerical form as well, but we’re open to ideas.

We just settled on a domain for our website: 13vapes.com. The numerical form now has even more appeal as it doesn't need translation.

We are thinking about borrowing from 99d and trying some variations with 13v, as we felt the first submission with a plain 13 didn’t look meaningful enough to be remembered. Plus there’s a huge risk of infringing someone’s trademark or not being able to trademark it if it’s too generic.
