Community & Non-Profit
United We Dream (UWD) is the largest immigrant youth-led community in the country. We create welcoming and liberating spaces for young undocumented immigrants to support, engage, organize, and empower them to make our voice heard and win! With an online reach of over 2 million, more than 120,000 members as well as 53 local groups across the country, UWD is made up of fearless youth fighting to improve the lives of our members and their families. Our vision is a society which celebrates our diversity and different identities and believe in an intersectional path to getting there. Whether we’re organizing in the streets, providing immigration services, building cutting edge technology systems, opening doors for LGBTQ immigrant youth, creating empowering spaces for womxn leadership, clearing pathways to education, stopping unjust deportations or creating alliances across social movements, United We Dream puts undocumented immigrant youth in the driver’s seat. UWD is a fast paced, dynamic organization which has become a leading voice in social change and has appeared in every major news outlet in the country. We reach mostly undocumented immigrant youth, mostly women, between the ages of 16-34. We are driven by the priorities and needs of our members, have trained thousands of individuals and have supported countless local organizing groups. Our grassroots driven approach has a proven track record of success and we’re looking to take it to the next level.
Other color requirements
The logo must feature the UWD Orange as a primary color. It can also feature our secondary color, the UWD Blue. Those two colors are as follows: UWD Orange: Hex: #F26122 CMYK: 0,77,99,0 UWD Blue: Hex: #002C40 CMYK: 98,74,50,52 If you see that other colors work well with the primary UWD Orange, feel free to suggest in your design but UWD Orange should continue to be the primary.
Overall, the new logo should vibrant and convey community & personality. Our name “United We Dream®” must be included in the logo. The acronyms “UWD” can also be used in conjunction with our name but it’s optional. The logo must also feature the UWD Orange (described above) as the primary color, it can also feature the UWD Blue but must look well as single color (black or white). The logo will also be used for our programs and our sister organization (United We Dream Action Fund) so it will have to be easy to modify the text. Please refrain from submitting logos with cliché immigration symbols (flags, statue of liberty, fist up, etc) and making the logo feel corporate-y. We are an organization led by young immigrants (16-34) and our logo must convey that. Other than that you are free to get creative. Fight. Build. Dream. These are the organizing principles for all our communications. It’s not a tagline, and it’s not a slogan. Instead, these 3 words provide the ultimate platform for telling our stories, our families’ stories, and pushing our mission. No other organization is quite like United We Dream or does more to invigorate & empower our immigrant community. Our Vision Our vision is a society which celebrates our diversity and different identities and believe in an intersectional path to getting there. Together we will win! Personality Every organization, like every person, possesses a distinctive personality. United We Dream stands for—community, pride, fun, strategic, smart, innovation, power TOGETHER—a proud, inclusive, and liberating space that welcomes our members from across the nation to empower themselves while fighting for the equal treatment of the immigrant community.
