Travel & Hotel

Hungerlust Travel is a travel blog where I provide map-based itineraries to my followers about international vacations (I am based in the US.) Since COVID, I’ve added a niche about taking extended ~6 week trips while working my corporate 9-5 job remotely. (www.hungerlusttravel.com) The blog name is a play on "wanderlust”, which is a strong desire to explore the world. So, Hungerlust is meant to be a desire to *eat* your way around the world by trying unique local cuisines in each country. The blog started as a food Instagram, but now most of my content is general travel info, and it’s itinerary based, not solely based around food. Food is still my passion and what I seek out when I'm traveling, but what I'm creating and sharing are itineraries, and breakdown of how long to spend at each location when visiting a country. While traveling, in addition to seeking out unique food experiences, I also love wine tasting and hiking. My blog is a hobby as my income comes from my corporate job. The biggest benefits I reap are from being hosted by hotels or destinations, not from advertisements or from selling anything to my readers. My website and logo are important to convince a potential host that I am legitimate and can put out a beautiful product about my experience with their hotel/airline/destination, even though I am not making a monetary income from the blog. There may be opportunities for follow up projects such as media kit, business cards, proposal templates, project summary templates, t-shirts, graphics for website, etc.

Update 1/19: I would like the focus of my logo to be the accompanying graphic more than the text of "hungerlust travel". I am gravitating towards logos featuring a map in some way, since that is a differentiating feature in my blog posts. I really like graphics that incorporate at least 2 different themes. I like the combo of purple and blue (or aqua.) Thank you all for your interest and time!! Ideas: - Thought bubble (helping someone turn their dreams into a concrete plan/trip itinerary) - Globe with continents made up of food icons Ascetically, I love bright colors. I also am drawn to small busy graphics, but I know that's not always great for a website, because the image would have to be large to discern small graphics. I also love maps and all of my itinerary blog posts are based around maps, so it would be cool to incorporate maps in some way. I designed my current logo myself at logomakr.com, attached, which I have been using for 4 years. - Maps are incorporated through the "you are here" icon next to the word travel - The luggage tag adds the travel theme, and inside the luggage tag is the Chicago flag where I am based, but very little of my content is about Chicago anymore. - The purple is color code: 6b00ff I liked it but am ready for something more professional, and compact or square vs long and narrow. Also attached is a logo idea I had - a globe, where the countries are made up of small food logos. But I think it might be too intricate for a small website logo. I also like the idea of incorporating a travel vehicle, such as airplane, hot air balloon, etc. The rest of the attachments are inspiration photos and art I am drawn to!
