This isn't really for inspiration, but more of a sign of what firms like ours are doing historically. Many of these logos are old. None of this is to say our logo has to have these styles - we view many of them as BORING. However, our favorite among our peers' logos are: tao capital, caffeinated, redpoint, Felicis, Thrive, Founder's Fund, Google Ventues, Sequoia, and Coatue.
Concepts core to our identity
-Giving investors smart access to deals they couldn't otherwise participate in
-Great risk-adjusted returns
-Investing in world-changing companies right as they are breaking out
-Use of secondary markets (buying shares from early investors and employees) rather than primary markets (investing directly in the company)
-We have a real, structural advantage in sourcing opportunities gathering information on private companies
-We have fantastic professionals networks
-We are the white knight in a space full of shady people. We provide a solution for employees and investors seeking liquidity
-We build well constructed diversified portfolios of high-growth companies
-We are doing something differentiated and exciting!
-We chose Pomegranate because the fruit has many seeds, which are really its chances to be successful in its mission of creating the next --Pomegranate tree. Similarly, we invest in a diversified portfolio of stocks larger than most other late-stage growth investors. Plus, pomegranates just have good associations in every culture. They are a symbol of prosperity and fertility.
Colors / Design Aesthetic
While there may be some red in our logo, we don't want reds/pinks/etc to dominate our color scheme. We are looking for a color scheme that inspires confidence, maturity, and trust - afterall, people are trusting their money with us. So, it should be understated but also look good. We think blue might be an interesting start, but leave this up to you as the experts.
Brand values - simplicity, deep relationships, win-win approach
Here are some of our favorite for inspiration ONLY - we aren't committed to any of these design concepts AT ALL, but are sharing our aesthetic sense and hoping to broaden some of the ideas being pursued here:
1) We like the idea of fusing something digital with a Pomegranate: https://images.app.goo.gl/CfvJn1HAXcMiUXWM8
2) We like both organic feels and geometric too, and thought this triangle plane view of a Pomegranate was novel and new. Also speaks to technology indirectly: https://images.app.goo.gl/TfRnDf4HZTfEqJNz5
3) We like the idea of emphasizing the seeds (Aril) because it is the number of seeds in one fruit (diversification) that we like and the reason we chose the name: https://images.app.goo.gl/tfF3qK5i1WtUvng26
