frayser1 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
MIdCentric needs Mad Men logo styling for today's modern world.

We sell vintage mid century modern furniture and accessories from the 50's, 60's and early 70's to those who are either starting to develop a personal style aesthetic, or are looking to add pieces to their current mid century modern decor. We have a selection of both high end and moderate price points. Some clients are looking for specific designer names and others just appreciate the style without knowing anything more. Designer names such as Knoll, Eames, George Nelson, Herman Miller, Bertoia, and Eero Saarenin. The styles are best known for clean simplicity, uncomplicated aesthetics, and organic forms without excessive detailing. The style has been reintroduced and popularized by the TV show Mad Men. Examples of iconic pieces are the the Saarenin tulip table, the Eame's bentwood lounge chair, the Sputnik chandelier, Bertoia's wire chairs and Herman Miller fiberglass chairs.Other shapes and elements we like are in the Broyhill Brasilia furniture line, the mid century starburst clock, Google the images of these for ideas.
Logo types to explore
We would love to see some of the shapes of the iconic furniture pieces incorporated into the design, see above for examples of iconic pieces. The C in MidCentric must be caps or the M and the C should be larger than the other letters . Colors listed are suggestions only and are NOT required. Other shapes and elements we like are in the Broyhill Brasilia furniture line, the mid century starburst clock, Google the images of these for ideas. Other abstract shapes that are typical of the era are vertical diamonds, squares and rectangles with rounded corners.
