Entertainment & The Arts
YouTube channel covering photo and video gear reviews, behind the scenes updates, tutorials and more.
I’m open to ideas on the type of logo that’s best for my brand. The final product MUST HAVE an element that works as a profile image that is clearly identifiable, even when small. This profile image can (and probably should) be separate and different from the logo but must match the style and design. I generally prefer simple, uncluttered designs. I also tend to prefer logos that in some way demonstrate the word or concept of the name. Concepts that you might want to work with include: - the passage of time - review ratings (like 4 out of 5 stars) - photos and videos (should include both if one us used) - photo and video equipment (again, please include both if one is used) - lessons (not classroom or chalkboard I don’t think) If you use a camera in your design (which is NOT a requirement), please include a full size DSLR (Nikon D5 for example) and a documentary style camera (Sony FS5ii for example). One concept (which is NOT a requirement) is to depict the passage of time on a meandering dotted line. Much like the line you might see on a treasure map. Along the line there could be ”X” marks indicating failures that lead to a check mark indicating final success. Again, your logo does not need to look anything like this. Another concept (again, just an idea, not required) would be to show the evolution of equipment with an older, point-and-shoot evolving into a larger DSLR and then into a pro DSLR, evolving further into a small camcorder and then into a larger video camera and finally into a full cinema rig. You don’t have to use all of these steps - these are just a few that I could think of. The logo will of course be used in videos. Extra points If you can think of a way that it can be animated. You DO NOT have to animate it yourself. We can likely do that ourselves... so long as you specify what you have in mind.
