Logo for open-source software package

Hi! We need a new logo for our open-source project PADL. PADL is a tool/framework/library that helps developers and data scientists to develop artificial intelligence software and technology by facilitating the development, training, saving and deployment of deep learning models. Find it here: https://github.com/lf1-io/padl Our target audience are individuals like AI developers and data scientists, public and private funding institutions like research centers, governmental institutions and venture capitalists. We want to convey an innovative, technical image - but also a bit techy/nerdy. The padl is a reference to a boat "paddle" since it is a tool to help navigate through rough waters. We like monochrome designs as well as designs with an accent color. We already like our current logo but the typeface is not ideal and it looks too sporty. Anyhow, it could include a paddle - but then probably more as a stand-alone icon.
