mackman needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 109 designs submitted by 46 freelance designers.
Contest reward is $150, and I would need the completed winning work in a format that can be edited in PhotoShop (re-sizable, etc) (e.g. .psd, .tif, .jpg).
The design should be professional, clean, simple, perhaps even web 2.0-ish. If the graphic can represent or relate to the date reference in the name, great, but an abstract design is fine.
Logos like those of Freshview, 31three, 37signals, SimpleBits, Brightcorner, etc. are examples of what I had in mind.

SIX15 Solutions, LLC is a small yet successful web site consulting business in the Metro Detroit area. Just as other contest holders here have indicated, I too concentrate on the business, coding and layout, relying on outside help for design related tasks. Which brings me here. My business needs an identity. A logo, for starters.

Some things to consider when designing your entry:
- The name SIX15 refers to a date (6/15). Six is spelled out to give the illusion of an ambigram, so any entry will need to have six in all caps.
- SIX15 Solutions, LLC is the official name of the company, but I refer to it as SIX15, or sometimes type out the name SIX15 solutions (lowercase s in solutions and no llc). The llc need not be a part of the logo.

I like the fonts Whitney, Interstate, and Trebuchet, for the logo text but if something else works with your particular design Im flexible.
And speaking of flexible, it is crucial that the logo could be any size, or color (perhaps even looking good using a single color), so if I wanted a black & white version or be able to transfer it to print or embroidered you get the idea. There may be times when I would use the logo without the text.
As for a color scheme for initial designs, I like rich reds and deep blues, with a tan or gray third color. But again I admit I am not a designer so if some other color combination works better feel free.
Hopefully that braindump is enough to get things rolling. If not, please shoot me an email to discuss.
Thank You in advance!
