marcus.osterloM got their new logo design by running a design contest:
A logo for an information security company that is targeting corporate customers

The idea: Imagine you have a company that is providing software as a service in the internet. Or you are providing services in your own data center or you are simply a company with employees. Now imagine that each and every company is at any time under heavy fire from attackers in the internet that try to breach you. That is our current reality. Employees getting phished. Vulnerabilities in old or badly designed software are getting exploited. Every day. And here comes Ares into the game. We are using the same techniques that attackers are using to identify the vulnerabilities of the companies before the bad guys can do this. And we help companies to solve the identified problems and create a secure IT environment. And what is at least as important: We are helping our customers to keep the environment secure! A more formal explanation: Ares is an information security company that focusses on offensive and defensive security services. We are combining deep technological knowledge with the urge to improve the security for our customers by identifying security vulnerabilities before the bad guys can do this. This means we are searching for security vulnerabilities by the use of hacking methodology in the computer environment of our customers. Our information security services are divided into three categories: The offensive category uses hacking methods (penetration testing, red teaming, social engineering, etc.) to identify the security vulnerabilities. This information results in the need of protection, which will be provided by the defensive part of the security (like security concepts, patch management, system hardening, etc.). And to keep the company also in the future safe a security monitoring and a secure architecture will be implemented. The life cycle is like this: Analyze => Secure => Keep it Secure *ADDED* When I think about my company I think about challenging the security of my clients. Consulting them to get better in terms of security. And also try to think about how to make them secure in the future. *ADDED* Blacklist: The helmet (except if it is a really, really abstract form), Spears in triangles, and the "A" itself in a direct way *ADDED* Some keywords: Minimalism, clarity, recognizability, uniqness, consultancy focused business, strength, reliability, professionalism, hacking, attacking networks/computers, offensive Our target group of customers are managers in areas of financial services (banks and finTechs), software companies, industrial companies, etc.
Please do not provide logos with locks or shields. Many IT security companies are using this. I would like a more interesting logo. The logo should look serious, reliable and modern.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at €269.
