Our clients are looking to create impactful marketing videos. A typical client is someone who is redoing their website or launching a new brand and understands the importance of video as a way to explain their company.
In addition to producing video content Direct Narrative also provides consulting along the way, walking clients through the process of video creation. We have a strong skill set of business knowledge, and while I'm not sure if this is something which can/should be conveyed in the logo, I thought it would be at least pertinent to those designing the graphics.
The company name, Direct Narrative, was derived from the fact that we are telling a story, or a narrative, for each of our clients. Being able to listen to clients needs and desires and taking these ideas and creating a impactful promotional video takes a lot of time and coaching along the way. Most people are not familiar with what it takes to create a marketing video, and having the vision to guide clients through the steps is imperative. Being direct with clients, and firmly giving our opinions, even when they might be contrary to what the client wants to hear, is what differentiates us from our competition. Business acumen, combined with storytelling creativity is what Direct Narrative is all about.
I also really like the incorporation of an icon next to the Direct Narrative copy. Here are a couple example of our competition which I like:

<p class="p1">They each have a little icon which can be used to represent the brand... Stillmotion's seems a little abstract but still fits well. The other two are a little more literal with the name and yet are extremely simple and very strong visually.
