A winner was selected from 41 designs submitted by 13 freelance designers.
VastPark is a 3D Internet platform give developers free tools, 3D browser and content delivery to enable you to create 3D websites, games, etc. We have a logo we've designed but we want you to improve the logo and take it from good to great! I want to see the logo get a more 3D feel while still being a black and white logo.

I've done a rough logo we've used for some early events and business cards. I'm keen to see some talented folk revise it. Doesn't have to be massively different, just better.
Current logo: Logo features a tree with the words VastPark underneath.
What's right about the current logo?
-The basic format is fine. Don't need to add more design elements. I like the branches are representing network "nodes" that are interlinked rather than normal branches. I like the concept of the trunk getting wider at the base. I like the way the base of the tree cuts into the P of Park and how there's a negative shadow shape that seperates them.
What's wrong with the current?
-I don't "love" the font, I don't like that the trunk and base of the tree is absolutely a solid shape and I wonder if it should have some shadowing similar to the top of the P in Park to create a sense of a 3D tree. Maybe the shadowing should be all or mostly on one side of the trunk to get a realistic sense of shape??? I'm not good enough to know how to solve that design issue, but I will be able to give you good direction when you show me your ideas.
What else?
-I don't mind if you experiment with the size, shape and position of the "nodes" in the tree but I do like the overall shape I captured. I think the nodes nearest the trunk need some work as they look unbalanced somehow? Maybe that's not a problem when the trunk has more shape to it?
If I'm very happy with your work I encourage you to play with further 3D ideas that might mean the logo has many shades of grey. Just remember that it needs to still work strongly as a logo in just black and white before we start to make it more sophisticated!! Okay, now it's really up to you, your imagination and keen design sense to refine it. The cool thing is that this technology is going to get a lot of people's attention and it'll show off your logo design work!
Best wishes,

P.s. You can view the current logo at VastPark.com and I'll organise a high quality version of what I've done so far to be available to you and add that info soon.
By the way, to save on people asking questions about VastPark as a technology: we will be launching a new website featuring the winning logo very soon. It will explain more. But to tease you a bit: You're going to love what you can achieve with VastPark. It's like Dreamweaver for 3D sites. You can use the latest shader technologies, so with some practise you be able to achieve results that look like popular 3D games. We're hoping people use it for showcasing products, architectural work, game ideas, animated 3D characters, personal 3D sites, etc.
