The name 601 comes from the digital TV standard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCIR_601) our location does not play a role. We produce for an international market and international companies.
we want a strong logo that will not only have the modern and slick, cross between sleek corporate and something which will stick in the minds of people, but be versatile enough to be used both online and offline and in varying advertisment campaigns (ie. web banners/posters/commercials/business cards). We will consider entries which go along the typical TV, film company lines. ie Film clap boards, rgb colors , tv sets, video tape reels or film rolls, film strips which are well done. These logos have been done a hundred times and if someone has an idea of how to intergrate these in a new innovative way we will take a look. We have had one entry with a film clap and it looks nice But we would really like to have some entries which are innovative and new. A fresh look, modern sleek, professional, corperate. We want a design and not something which we can get out of a 29.95 logo software. something a little outside the norm.

We have not previously considered a tagline or slogan but if you think you can come up with something that will blow us away and add to the logo then please feel free to add one. Should a logo with a tagline/slogan win then we will increase the prize money to 250.

Winner will be paid the prize promptly,and I expect the winner to deliver the TTF font files used, and a vector version and color palette for the final logo.

I will check in on the contest daily, and try and offer as detailed feedback as possible, as quickly as possible.
