Calcutta Mercy

For 60 years our organization has been focused on relief in one of the worlds most impoverished places : Calcutta, India . Through our 177 bed hospital and 12 rural clinics we provide free medical care to 40,000 each year. Through our many schools we educate 35,000 children, many who have become top leaders in their industry. [one is a VP of Mattel, another assisted in creating the Boeing engine] Through our nutritional program we feed 25,000 people a day. We are recreating our website to be more transparent like that of charity: water. We love their logo because one symbol and an easy design displays what they do. For us, it's a little more complicated because we have so many things we are do and reach out in a more holistic approach. Previously our logo used hands in shape of a heart. We are looking for something more modern that can be used in various formats. One symbol that iconizes what we do next to our name. We are using Gotham narrow and Gotham bold for our new branding and want to keep with that in the font used for our logo. We need something simple, modern and corporate . We do three things : feed, educate and medically assist.

If you look at the versatility of charity water logo and how they used it on picture... Ads.. Etc.. You'll get a good feel for where we are going.. Our new website will be largely photo driven so we need a really great simple logo.. Below are pictures now of the logos on the website and some pictures of work we do in Calcutta ... And logo ideas we've been given and don't like... It's close but not quite there yet... Also we are not set on having red in logo. Open to ideas but the colors are below.
