The United Nations and its 193 member countries set a course in 2015 to develop 17 goals aimed at transforming our world by the year 2030. These world wide objectives are known as the "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) and include eradicating hunger, eliminating poverty, battling climate change, protecting life in the oceans and seeking alternative renewable energy sources for powering our future. The SDGs are of critical importance to humanity and the world we live in.

The "World Organization For Sustainability Leadership" (WO4SL) is an International Non Profit organization helping to educate high school and college aged students from all countries on the need to become leaders and ambassadors for promoting the SDG's and leading our next generation towards a more sustainable future. WOSL's primary objective is in enrolling students into a unique summer curriculum that teaches them about this important work and how they can become leaders of change towards these objectives. Students who successfully complete the summer program will continue on to perform a "work-service" mission in a developing country and use their skills and knowledge to lead community projects in areas most needed.
You will be developing the "World Organization for Sustainability Leadership" logo. As such our vision is to create a logo with the same "look and feel" as many of the institutions operating in this space (a quick search on google images for "world organization") will yield similar looking logos (institutions that work with the UN). We are interested in the following concepts:
1) A globe
2) laurel leaves
3) (ideally) something that artistically depicts sustainability... In the case of our mockup logo (please review upload #0) you will notice that the globe itself is comprised of liquid water and plant life wrapped in a "yin yang" spiral. This concept is absolutely GOOD with us and if you wish to pursue this using your own creative talents we are happy.
4) In line with the other institutions we expect the font to be clean and sharp and the full name spelled out beneath the artwork.
5) The acronym for our institution is also our website URL so just as the "World Health Organization" logo has the "WHO" acronym if you wish to incorporate "WOSL" or "WO4SL" in the artwork that may be interesting (please see UNIDO logo on upload #3)
6) Color-wise we are leaning toward a light blue on white background just as the other institutions but additional colors such as green may be explored.
Please feel free to ask questions and we look forward to everyones creative ideas !!!! Best of Luck !!!!
