With our new logo, we wish to express a fresher look to the public.
The full name of our organization is Cache Valley Center for the Arts, however we would like to be referred to as "CacheARTS" in the logo.
We are drawn to having a symbol within in the logo, as well as the words CacheARTS, and we would love to see this symbol inspired by the neoclassical architecture of the theatre. We would prefer that some of the more obvious symbols (the phoenix, the muse head, the rams’ heads, the laurels) not be depicted literally. However, they are historically significant to our theatre and provided photos to give a feel of the space.
We would love to see some subtle neo-classical or art nouveau influences in the logo without it being incredibly opulent.
We have also included the two versions of our old logo in use-- one with serif font, and one with sanserif font. We find both of these logos to be too wordy and difficult to design around, and don't communicate much to our patrons. Although we have three facilities that are run by the Center, having the names of all of them in the logo has also seemed cluttered and dated.
The ease of designing around the logo is a large priority for us. Having such a wide, short logo in the past has made it a bit of a challenge.
