ACR+, the Association of Cities and Region for sustainable Resource Management (www.acrplus.org), is an international network of cities and regions sharing the aim of promoting a sustainable resource management and accelerating the transition towards a circular economy on their territories and beyond. ACR+ is involved in a wide range of European projects, one of them is the GREENER project. The project is in its preliminary phase and ACR+ is in charge of the creation of a logo. The project name is “boostinG industRy EngagemEnt iN grEen pRocurement” (GREENER). For more information about Green Public Procurement, you can find it here: https://ec.europa.eu/environment/gpp/index_en.htm The key objectives of the project are: • create awareness on the influence of green public procurement (GPP) on the adoption of sustainable consumption and production patterns by businesses. • Improve the skills of procurers and SMEs administrative profiles with regard to GPP criteria. • Enhancing the responsiveness of curricula of traditional profiles, to the future demand of skills (upskilling – reskilling training path). Target audience: private sectors professionals (middle management and/or staff of administrative offices involved in procurement process). Moreover, the project aims at collaboration and exchange of experiences among entities from different fields (industry, research centres, public authorities, etc.) and among people from different sectors and nationalities (Bulgaria, Spain, Belgium and Italy).

The point of the logo is to show that GREENER/the project intents to boost the engagement of the industry in green procurement.
