Global PEHT is a not for profit Fair Trade social enterprise aimed at offering a sustainable, long term strategy to aid in the fight to end Human Trafficking.
Global PEHT was founded by a group of women who became aware of the atrocities of forced labor and sex trafficking, both abroad and in their own backyard and sought a way to offer stability and economic freedom to those seeking a way out of a life of bondage. Recognizing a natural link between the unconditional love our pets offer to us and the radical love required to offer hope to victims of human trafficking, Global PEHT was born.
Global PEHT will be both a pet services as well as retail operation. GP will provide local pet grooming services performed by graduates of a two-year residential sex trafficking rescue and recovery program. GP will also produce and sell unique, distinctive pet related products including collars, leashes, pet beds, and other items, handmade globally by survivors rescued from the sex trade, or by individuals by virtue of their economic vulnerability, are potential targets of human traffickers.
