Ewalsh.nm got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Fun, professional logo needed for event rental business
Check out Ewalsh.nm's Logo design contest…
We are small, family run business based in Taos, New Mexico, and we want to help our community celebrate the special events in life. We rent equipment for events and parties, including tents, tables, chairs, linens, glass and dishware, food service items, bounce games, and bbq grills. Events include graduations, weddings, back yard parties, nonprofit fundraisers, and professional meetings.
Logo types to explore
We serve a rural community made up of Hispanic, Native American and white clients. Their lifestyles/economic capacity range from middle class to very high end. Taos is known for having a laid back culture where you can live however you want, being an artistic community, and having a strong spiritual pull embodied in our beautiful natural surroundings (located in the high dessert at the base of the Rockie Mountains, and near the Rio Grande river). I would like to appeal to this broad audience, and still have a classy/modern brand. Here are some examples of logos that I like, mostly from 99design stuff: http://www.laurarauchphoto.com/ http://99designs.com/logo-design/contests/logo-wanted-story-lantern-113131/entries/11470689

And then… they selected a winner!
Working with Lena has been a joy, right from the very first version of the logo she devised – which struck me for its ingenuity – through to the last files. Lena was very proactive in making changes along the way, going further than the input I provided and polishing the design more when I didn't even ask for it. I have no hesitations recommending her!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
